The designer sneakers collaboration is the next big thing now and for validation, all you have to do is to look at Nike x Off-White or Adidas x Raf Simons’ ongoing partnership.
But designer picks which they chose have to have the sass in their purest form, the ones unveiled on the showdown of Milan, Paris, and the rest of the world’s global fashion capitals are flourishing. They got sold out the moment they hit the store shelves and by the means of aesthetic standards (which the rest of the sneaker world follows), completely justifiy the look and feel of these sneakers.
As we remember, the major sneakers that hit the market back in January this year were Balenciaga’s soon-to-be-everywhere “Triple S” sneaker, a chunky pick that was crazy by our streamlined kick-loving eyes. But now, the North Star, all big ugly sneakers (the good kind) are flooding the market. Everywhere. Anyone and everyone seems to love the big cozy daddy out there.
So to further elaborate things we’ve rounded up nine pairs of sneakers from Givenchy, Acne Studios, and more, all of which come with (not for the faint of heart) designs and their own “it’s called fashion, ever heard of it?” Class. What’s important is that these sneakers might feature jaw-dropping price, but as we say, diamonds are always visible from the far. Gear up to turn some heads when you stand out right now. And that’s exactly why they’re worth drooling on. YOU CAN’T RESIST THE BEAUTY.
1. Acne Studios “Sami Lilac” sneakers
Like a little mash-up of Kanye West’s Yeezy army boots and Yeezy Boost 700 series sneakers, with the added hint of a dusty pink finish.
2. Dior Homme “Platform” sneakers
An ultra-luxurious take on a classic skate low top show, these Dior Homme sneakers bring premium leather, D-ring loops and fat laces together in one beautiful package. Also note this package is costly af.
3. Fendi Knit Sneakers
Not the first brand that you would think of when talking designer sneakers, but these boot-like kicks hit a sweet spot of sneakers in 2017. They’ve got the sporty knitted upper and a hiking boot sole that gives them just enough charm.
4. Off-White Low-Top Sneakers
Everyone (including us) is going gaga over Virgil Abloh’s Nike peppy collaboration, launched few days back, and these old Off-White label with kicks are equally as covetable as these tone-on-tone checkerboard sneakers. White will never go out of fashion and this sneaker specially is the best of both worlds from basketball and skate sneakers.
5. Y-3 “Ayero” Sneakers
We know we said this list would exclude collabs but 14 years after it first launched, at this point, Y-3 (which is In line with Adidas) is more like its own brand than anyone else’s. These kicks certainly have a little Adidas DNA in them(speaking of the outer looks) but their spaceship-like shape and all-black scheme have Yohji written all over them. For those who dont know why, it’s because Yohji-Yamamoto colab with Adidas.
