Manchester United is closing on to its next big signing of the year as they prepare to land Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford, according to Sky Sources. The deal is going to be finalised in the coming days, but the sources have stated that it’s almost done.
Manchester United’s boss, Jose Mourinho, is happily relieved at Matic’s much awaited entry, from his former club Chelsea. Sky Sports Sources further stated that United States will be bringing the Serbian, who has proved the significance of his appearance in many matches, in a fee agreed to be close to £40 million.
The deal appears beneficial in the account of both Chelsea and Manchester United, as the amount too seems agreeable for Chelsea. Besides that, they’ve already purchased Tiemoue bakayoko from AS Monaco to fill the boots of Matic.
For Manchester United, it happens to be a great deal. Michael Carrick will be absent from the field for every game of upcoming season, and also with Marouane Fellaini being linked to Galatasaray, Matic is the right and better man for the job of being the holding midfielder of United’s midfield. He surely can ease off the pressure from Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera.
Sky sources understand that the Serbian midfielder has been training at Chelsea’s Cobham base this week and could join in the Manchester United on time to face European Champions Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 8.
Apparently, Manchester United is successfully appearing like a team which can challenge for the titles and, signing Matic’s presence will be adding to the big step towards the team’s run for the titles and cups.
